25th August 2003 Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: NE /E Wind Stength: 3 -4 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 22 Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: East and north east wind about the worst direction there is at Brog no wind and the top the lake. Things looked ok at the bottem end of the lake so I rigged up. wobbled and blobbed down the lake wind at top end of lake didn't know what direction it was. Once down the bottem of the lake had a couple of planning runs then the dam wind dropped. Slogged my way back up the lake til I could make it no futher due to the swirling wind through the trees. At one point I done a complete 360 with wind in the sail all the way round! So in i went and swam the last 100 m back to shore. Decided to head home before the M1 was clogged up with dam holiday makers |
